I own a DV6T-6000, and in all my games I get severe screen tearing. This is fixed in some by D3DOverrider, but not in all (Crysis 2, Metro 2033, STALKER, being the most notable). Does anyone have a fix?

11.5b doesn't fix it for me, and I've updated the BIOS. Has anyone else experienced this or have any fixes?

I have the same laptop as you. I also have a 4.7ghz overclocked desktop. You REALLY don't want to overclock a laptop. Mine gets to 96 degrees with full cpu use or intense gaming. This $1200 laptop could last you years if you don't overclock it. If you overclock, you will be lucky to get two years before it dies. I have many friends that bought gaming laptops with high end graphics cards, and they almost all died in two years. My stock dv6 blows out burning hot air, it is not the same as a desktop with good cooling. Why risk your whole laptop for a few fps?

Don't know if this would help, but I had terrible tearing in Dead Island.
You had to edit the video or config file and add VSynch(), then you
had to make the file read only so the stupid game doesn't reset the vsynch
to off! But that was directx, I think minecraft and cs is opengl, so maybe there is an opengl vsynch setting somewhere?
