Hi Everybody!
Help me decide. I am interested to buy a notebook. Here are my specifications: I like to have an AMD 64 processor 15, 15.4" diplay and the rest. I am an ocassional gamer and I was waiting for the new Compaq r4000 series to come out. But to my dissapointment it came with a 128MB ATI Radeon XPRESS 200M card. And we seen some rather low benchmarks....
You guys think that in a near future hp/compaq maybe will put some stronger gpu in this line of notebook or shell I go and look for somewhere else? ---I would like to keep this notebook for at least 3 years.--- At least I would like to have a performance in gpu like a mobility radeon 9700 128M.
I know I could go to (for example) Dell but I do not want to deal with a 17" display and they not even offering any combination of a AMD 64 with either GeForce Go 6800 Ultra PCI Express or ATI Mobility Radeon X 600, 700, or 800.
My only choice is going somewhere else like cyberpowerinc.com??
Is there a viable alternetive? I rather get a notebook from a biger vendor then a small shop over the internet.
Thank you!!

If you have the cash, this fits your requirements very well:

Compaq has a Turion notebook coming out in June (see the article in this forum) but it doesn't look like it has a widescreen and we don't know what GPU it uses (I wouldn't get too hopeful). I'd expect that Acer to be out around June too though no shipping date has been announced. June appears to be the big Turion notebook launch month.
Shall I wait or go for it?? (Compaq r4000 or else)
