Despite having a few issues with my Envy, I think the overall aesthetics and the amazing display (Radiance) are enough to get me to hold onto the laptop. One problem I still haven't adapted to is the sharpness of the edges. I generally rest my thumb at the bottom of the computer (particularly when I'm not at a desk), but the sharp edge makes this rather unpleasant. So far I've gotten used to two-finger scrolling and tapping to right-click to get over the trackpad issues -- so maybe I'll get used to this problem.

I know I'm not the only person that has found this annoying (the Engadget review makes note of the issue), so I was just wondering if anyone has tried anything to deal with the problem. I know some people have sanded the edges of their Macbook Pros, but the macbook edge comes to a 90 degree angle, whereas the Envy comes closer to a 60 degree angle. As a result, I'm not sure if simply sanding the edge will make the experience less pleasant. Has anyone tried this or anything else out?

I think it's still possible to sand it. Just get some very high grit sandpaper (400+) to ensure that you won't damage the finish any more than is necessary to get rid of whatever edge you have. To be honest though, I'd use a piece of scotch tape or any clear tape in general and just lay down a thin layer along the wrist area and make sure it's contacting properly, it should be enough to take most of the edge off of the envy.
