Well i am looking for a laptop to essentially replace my desktop. I really like the HDX series and just played with one today at Future Shop. It was amazing! The only problem was the cursor moves very slowly, could the sensitivity be turned up? So i came home and started checking out Ebay and came accross this certain laptop which meets my needs. The only thing is its refurbished. I have never bought a refurbished item before so i am asking for your help. Is it a good idea to purchase a refurbished HP product? In the description it states it is "Manufacturer (HP) refurbished to new condition" so i am hoping it looks and performs like new. And is this a good deal?

That seems like an ok deal. The only thing I would ad is the backlit keyboard option. That option is only 3 months old so if this is a refurb then it wasn't available back then.

Also note that you may get a better deal using a HP 30% off coupon. I don't know if one is out now but do a google search.

Im in Canada, can i still use that coupon? But prices are generally higher here so im sure it would still work out to be more expensive. That laptop works out to be around $1400 CAD which isnt bad in my opinion. The only thing im worried about is it being refurbished.

You can do a test buy, fake configuration but not checkout. If you apply the 30% off coupon it will be cheaper.

I don't know if the coupon works in Canada however.
