Should I wait or buy it now?

    Hello,
I look for my new laptop.
I think that I intend to buy...
HP dv6000t with Intel Core 2 Duo 2.0 GHZ Processor, 15.4" BrightView Hi-Definition Widescreen, Nvidia Geforce Go 7400 (256 MB), HP Imprint Finish, Mic, 1 Gigabytes DDR2 SDRAM, 80 GB 5400 RPM HD, LightScribe Super-Multi Drive, Intel Pro Wireless A/B/G+ Bluetooth and Windows XP Professional
Now the cost about $1,271.99 (after $100 instant rebate and $50 rebate).

I have some questions to ask you.
I still have an old laptop, and it can be worked well.
I'll back to my country in May 2007.
So, I want to buy this laptop maybe in Feb - Mar 07.
I intend to use my new HP in my country. (I don't want to use here)
I want to know that is there any rebate in that time?
Can I get instant rebate in that time?
And if I buy it in that time, the cost maybe lower or higher than this duration.
I'm not familiar with HP rebate system.
Are there rebate promotion all around the year?

    Please give me suggestions
    Thank you,
    Pom

definitely there will be new discounts or special offers by that time. if you have the patience to wait 4 more months, the specs you gave us will be cheaper. rebates have their time frame, but manufacturers have all year round rebates (except dell, i think they removed their rebate system).

maybe hp will include HDMI on dv6000 next year?!? i hope

If you start waiting without a clear idea of what it is that you wait, you may never buy a laptop :)
