I have a 128g SSD (crucial m4) that I want to stick in my new hp dv6tqe. Simple procedure but I assume this will void the warranty. Should I be worried about this and maybe use the laptop for a few months without replacing the HDD?

Also, would re-pasting the CPU/GPU void the warranty?
-
Hard drives should not void the warranty but re-pasting the CPU might void it if you break something like hockeymass said. Usually the hard drive and the memory won't, so that's why they make it easier to open up to change those two parts.
-
In reality, none of it will void the warranty. There's no way for them to tell whether or not you repasted the CPU, unless you break something.
-
Repasting the CPU requires you to take the computer apart, I thought they have a way to tell whether a screw has been removed before, and that will void the warranty.
-
Hmm, anyone sure about this?
-
hmm.. usually they will put a warranty sticker on the screw hole but i see none.
i've reapplied the thermal paste and swapped the ODD to HDD. -

I sure hope that you are right, I can't wait to repaste the CPU since I know how crappy HP's thermal pads are.
Should I worry about voiding the warranty?
