Similar to HP dv6z with HD 1080p screen and A8-3550MX

Does anyone know any brands that are similar to HP dv6z with 15.6" HD 1080p screen and A8-3550MX for a reasonable price? I might just give up on HP if they don't offer any good deals soon.

 

Why don't you look around eBay for their dv6z/dv6t refurbs? I got an i5 1080p dv6t with 1gb 6770m for $660 there and it's amazing.

Any problems with their refurbs like are there any bad pixels on the screen or other problems?

 

Not that I know of. On mine, there's a very light scratch next to the webcam that's unnoticeable unless you pay really close attention. Other than that it's pretty much perfect so far. Temps are around 40 when I'm not gaming - Intel graphics and power saver. I only use high performance when I'm gaming.

plus discrete AMD graphics card

Is HP the only company selling AMD laptops with 1920x1080p screens now? Haven't found any others.

 

Not sure, I think Dell XPS has FHD screens, best bet would be to google 1080p laptops - you could also go to the "What Notebook Should I Buy" and make a thread there; you'll likely get much better responses haha

 

Thanks. I'll try that. Regarding Dell, theones they have are Intel laptops and I don't want Intel even though they may be faster and they have glossy screens which are hard to see outdoors.
