Ever since I did a clean install of vista ultimate I've been having a problem with sleep on my dv6500t. Most of the time when I close the lid to put it to sleep it will not wake back up wen I open the lid. The screen stays black and I can see no sign of activity, im forced to manually restart the computer. The few times it does work, it displays a message saying windows has recovered from a serious error thinking its crashed. Anyone have a similar problem or a fix for this?

I have this EXACT error. The problem lies with the graphics card. (At least, if you notice that the computer is on but the screen is black). Took me a week to figure out that the error is at the nVidia control panel. (At least mine was). I set it back to its default settings for the monitor settings and it was fine.

I've never changed the settings in the Nvidia control panel to my knowledge, what specific changes did you make?
