what happened there? is this update essential for laptop users?

    http://www.cyberlink.com/cinema/hp/quickplay/2_3/hp/enu/item3.jsp

    QuickPlay v.3609

QuickPlay works well when Im inside Windows, but I Haven't tried to boot it cold yet. I hope that update and free space didnt effect the essence of QuickPlay.

When i boot it successfully from cold ill post back :)

No problems with here QP 3609 either within Windows or directplay.

If all it says is 2.3, then you have the stock version which shipped with your system. Open Quickplay and click on the Quickplay icon, there should be an update section and it should take you to the download page for the latest updates for your system.

After installed the download, my outsider quickplay doesn't boot any more. The embedded XP seems started, but give me a blank screen after that. It works fine in XP, but :( I missed that out side thingky.

Did anyone else get that kind of space back? Anyone get the cold boot to work? I don't really use QuickPlay from outside Windows (or within it), but it's nice to know the option exists.

I installed the latest upgrade and QP directplay works fine.

Quicklaunch wont affect the bootable version of Quickplay. Reinstall QP using the HPQPDP folder.
