so i've got a dv5t. i have the notebook raised up 6 inches in the back while on a desk, and i've also got it undervolted (down to 1.0250V on the 9x actually) and this machine always runs hot. hotter while in games (which makes sense.) but even while just browsing the net, it gets hot. why couldnt hp think ahead on this one! lol. just thought i'd complain today.

are you just talking about the exterior temps?
what are the internal temps?
- use a monitoring program like HWmonitor or CoreTemp
post a pic of the monitoring programs:
- one at idle
- one at full load (after using benchmarks) -
To borrow a phrase from a former presidential candidate,
-
my temps are normal, (ive got HW monitor) it's just the fact that decent cooling should be built in, it shouldnt be this way. oh well i guess.
-
Should have bought a dv7. I like my laptop warm it keeps my lap and hands warm.
-
dv7 gets just as hot
So tired of the heat!
