I work at Circuit, I'm wondering if I should just buy one at work, or get one off HPshopping.com. Well, it totally depends what we get in the store. If the one we get in store only has a 4200RPM drive, there's no way I'm getting that. But we'll see.

Anyone know the date on this?

Most retail models don't get the 5400RPM.

So far, I've only seen Toshiba retail's have 5400 rpm drives, maybe you should go to www.dv1000forums.com and ask?
I heard from someone that they'll be available on HP's website by the end of this month.
