I posted about 4 mounths ago about a possible RAID setup on the 2 hardrive dv9500. I was wondering if anyone tried this or if it is even possible?

Well, the first advantage of using software RAID with a HP laptop is the simple fact that its the only way you can use RAID in your laptop. Depending on the type of RAID you choose will determine the advantages and disadvantages of a software RAID. The biggest thing to remember, if the software get corrupted, so does your RAID and your data unless you are using a RAID 1 (mirrored Drives). I'm not too familiar with software RAIDs becuase I mainly deal with Hardware RAIDs, so if I were you I would do a little searching and see what you can find. Here's a great website for research on different types of technologies and their capabilities:
    http://www.wikipedia.org/

And you can also do some google searches and you should find a considerable amount of information.
