    Solid state hard drive....

    do you guys know it these drives are any faster than the current SATA drives we have in our current laptops ?

    assuming you have a normal hard drive, yes. Much faster. Also, SATA is merely the interface in which the data travels between the hard drive and the motherboard. so, in essence, the Solid state drives are also SATA.
