    Hi,

I`m currently looking for a new laptop, and the NC6220 is at the moment my top candidate. But I have some questions which neither google or the HP website can answer... at least I didn't find an answer.

    1. Does every NC6220 have wireless lan antennas built in? The one I want to buy at ebay does not have integrated Wlan, but I would like to install one.

    2. If every NC6220 have antennas I only need an Intel Wlan card labeled "2200BG". Am I right about this?

    3. Aren't there any batteries for the Multibay II slot? As I don't need an optical drive it would be nice to have a second battery instead.

    4. Do you know if there are power supplys which have only 2 connectors?
I'm sorry, but I don't know how to say this in english, so here are two pictures for explanation:
The standard power supply have 3 "connectors" like this cable:

Are there any power supplys for the "euro cabel" with only 2 connectors, like this one:

    Thanks for your reading,
    Dominik

It has the earth for a reason, (the 3rd wire) so I very much doubt that there will be a just a two wire.

Of course the earth has it reason... but I thought only the power supply must be grounded. So I hoped for a two wire power supply like many other laptops have.

    The reason why I'm asking:
A two wire "euro cable" is much more comfortable for me. If I'm traveling through Europe I wouldn't have to care about the right power cable, or adapter. Because the euro cable fits in every wall socket. At least in those countries I travel.

The plugs that go into the mains that you show are both Euro plugs. (I live in Finland and we use both) It's just that one is earthed and the other is not.

If you really want, you could buy an extra cable,("Three leaf clover" or "C5" that goes into the powerpack) and chop off the plug that goes into the mains, and put your own thin two pin plug on. And just hope that there isn't a power surge.

In Finland, the only sockets that are earthed are the ones in the kitchen. I have my powerpack plugged in the bedroom/livingroom without any problems. All the wall sockets are round but the TV/video etc etc come with a thin plug, and it still fits. The only thin sockets are the ones in the bathroom, and it wouldn't be safe to run the notebook in there anyways.

I can't speak for other EU countries, they my use only thin sockets, but as I said, just get another cable and swop the plugs. (Wiring correctly of course)
