    Some mysterious keystroke/mouse movement gives each key a different function

    I have a Pavilion dv6. Every few hours, I accidentally do something (presumably a keystroke) that results in the following:



    -When I press a key on the keyboard, instead of that letter showing up, some window shows up, or the tabs change.

    -Anytime I click on a link in Firefox, a new tab is opened.



    I assume I that this is some function mode, but I have no idea how to bring it back to the default mode without restarting the machine. Please help!

    some time Beats toggle on some mysterious keystroke too. I still cant reproduce the problem but it has something to do "B" key (and i'm not talking about fn + B, i know that)
