I just got my zx5000 pavilion and I will be a student this fall in college. I had NO idea there was a discount program available on here. I would have saved $50. Anyway, my notebook came very early which was a good surprise. However, when I went to open it out of the box there was this weird film stuff on the case. It almost looks like dried up glue or something. I have tried everything to get it off and it just will not. Plus I purchased the 1 year express warranty and opened it a few days after I got my notebook and thought, well I will set up this support today, and found out you must mail it within 10 days to recieve support. I seriously hope that nothing goes wrong..because it has actually been 14 days or so. The notebook is FLAWLESS in regards to how it runs.
Does anyone know if maybe it was the plastic wrapping that melted to the notebook case in shipping or what??....it is driving me nuts as a I have tried everything to get it off. What is weird is the faded like stuff on the case is on the far left/right sides where the styrofoam packing pieces were when I opened it. I wish I had pictures to show it. I have them taken with digital camera and will try to upload them or something.

The administrators (Abaxter and Brian) of this site can host the pictures for you (I think) so that you can show them to the rest of the board.

Return it. You will end up getting it cheaper with the discount anyway.
