Hi
I have an HP Pavilion dv6137tx notebook computer (dv6000 series) with Windows XP Media Center Edition preloaded. I am currently unable to write DVDs using the Sonic DigitalMedia Home version 7 that shipped with the system. The last time I was able to write to a dvd successfully was May 19, 2008. Then, all of a sudden it refused to write to DVDs. The error message I get is:
Sense: 03 ASC: 0C ASCQ: 00 (Command 35)
-------------------------------------------------------
Px.dll: 4.0.36.500
pxafs.dll: 4.0.36.500
pxdrv.dll: 1.2.9.0
PxMas.dll: 4.0.36.500
PxSFS.DLL: 4.0.36.500
PxWave.dll: 4.0.36.500
pxwma.dll: 1.0.0.3
However, I am able to burn CDs.
I am not sure what the problem is. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance,
cheers
Vivek

Try a different burning program like ImgBurn (free)
If that doesnt doesnt work try changing the media from DVD+R or -R
see this thread here http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=252362 -
Thank you Flipfire. Interestingly there were a finite number of "bad" DVDs in the box...all the other DVDs could be written to. I'll still check out ImgBurn.
Sonic DigitalMedia Home v7 won't write DVDs!
