    So I finally think I'm ready to go a head an make the upgrade to vista. Only I want to save all my files before hand. Better safe than sorry. I was planning to burn a few dvds for my brother before i wiped the drive and ran into a few errors using sonic. When I try to add a video file in Mydvd it loads the file a though it's working fine then the error messages begin.

    "Cannot make a thumbnail make sure you have the appropriate decoder installed - 47010"

    After that I click ok and exit sonic completely and another error message pops up.

    "Mediahub.exe"
    The exception Priviledged instruction.
    (0xc0000096) occurred in the application at location 0x00342160.
    click ok to terminate the program.

    I click ok once again

    Mediahub.exe - Application Error
    The instruction at 0x00000000 referenced memory at 0x00000000. The memory could not be read.
    Click ok to terminate...

    I click ok yet again

    Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
    Runtime error!
    program.....\sonic shared\sonic central\main\mediahub.exe
    R6025
    -pure virtual function call

    I haven't tried to burn any CDs but I can burn data files through sonic just fine. And the movie files themselves are not corrupt because I can play them and burn them as data using sonic I simply can not create a Dvd movie of the files using sonic. I'm not 100% but believe the issue was discussed elsewhere that the problem was compatibility between Sonic and WMP 11.
    I downloaded a few files from HP and Sonic to fix the problem and they are no help. The file from sonic meant to fix this problem in particular has the minimum requirement that you use a administrator account to install the program. I go to install the program and it runs through fine but then says i fail to meat the requirement. I only have one user account on this machine. Just wondering if anyone has ran into this problem or has an idea what i can do to fix this or at least get around it. I'm thinking of nero but i don't want to download and install it just to get another series of error messages. Any help with this is much appreciated.

    I'm still stuck on this, I'd at least like to know why that install is saying I'm not under an administrative account.
