    Hi,

    My HP DV6-2106ea came with windows 7, but i installed windows vista 64bit. as i haven't found any specific driver in hp website for my audio card i have installed windows 7 one which is 6.10.6249.0.
    Now while i m watching any movie over the headphone, once i unplugged it, i lose the sound even the video gets hanged for a while, but no sound at all unless i restart the movie again.
    I have found another driver in this forum, which version is ......60(at the end), that doesn't work properly as well, sound is too low.

    Is there any1 knows what is my sound card in this system (HP DV6-2106ea with core i7 processor) and also the proper vista 64bit driver for it. plz guys help me...

    I had this same problem when using Vista with my laptop but after switching to 7 it was resolved.

    I have windows 7 as well (dual boot vista and 7). i will check if its alright there. anyway, i need the sound work properly in vista. do u know the sound card in my system or how to check it out.
