    Hi, everyone. I am so happy that the radiance display is coming back for the regular one. Just canceled my order of the beats edition to order a new Envy 14 with Radiance for 50$+
    regular price 999 + 150(i5 580M) + 200(Radiance) = 1349$
    Beats price 1149(now 1099) + 150 = 1299$

    So that is pretty good. I cannot apply coupon because I live in France and I buy on configure-to-order on Ebay.

    So my question today will be: is there a difference of sound of these both Laptops? I saw people said no. But the reviews on notebookcheck give me some doubt. They emphasize on the sound quality of the Beats edition, and really don't appreciate the sound of the regular. So is there someone who can confirm me if they use the same sound card and system.

    Also, which one of those has the worst heating issue? What is the material of the Beats edition please?

    I think I have just found my perfect 1000 euros laptop which combines Design, Performance(don't compare to an alienware), Multimedia, Portability, Display, Battery quality. Well, performance may be the only point will disappoint me. I used a Full Performance Alienware M17x before. But considering all its other quality, I think I will fall love in it.

    Very balanced laptop. I hope it will please me. Thank you in advance.

    no, they both have beats audio, the second one is just beats edition. The outer shell is the only difference.

    the beats edition has beats software that improve sound when turned on. The hardware and speakers and sound card are the same, only difference in the Beats Audio program installed on the beats edition. There are no heating issues on either of them (unless you get a defective notebook). Everything is the same on both notebook except the color/design. For some reason, HP says the beats edition is heavier but they have the same hardware so I dont understand how its heavier..the matte finish can't make a 0.5lb difference

    I believe I've read that it comes pre-installed on both, the only difference is you get the slim charger w/ the beats and they different case. You used to get beats headphones but that was discontinued.

    @OP

    The Beats edition bundled software does not improve the sound quality. The bundled software is for mixing your own jams and tunes. It is basically an audio editing software.

    I see you like Bleach. Aizen fan much?

    Ok Thank you for all your respons. That helps me a lot.

    LOL, yeah! I like cool, malicious and smart antagonist in all manga I have read. For example Itachi and Deidara in Naruto, Aizen and Ichimaru in Bleach.

    Um, I don't know much about anime as I usually only watch it when its randomly on.

    I like that sand man from Naruto, gauri or something? He was always cool.
