Sometimes when i am listening to iTunes, when the song changes the sound will become distorted and loop.
it goes away after about 10 or 15 seconds

Have you tried updating your drivers or tweaking the audio software settings?

i believe i have the most recent drivers (marked by an A on the support site) and how would i go about tweaking the settings? What would i change them to exactly?
    i have a dv5t from HP

and could it be that this is an iTunes problem, because it only happens on iTunes?
