I don't have sound anymore. On the sound icon in the system tray it shows the sound on, however, just above the function keys, there is a sound icon that is color orange with the mute button on. So, how do I get my sound on again.

    Thanks in advance.

Ok, I installed the audio driver and the sound icon turned from orange to the normal color while it was installing. However, as soon as I rebooted my laptop, the sound icon turned orange with the mute button on. So, I still don't have sound.

Here's the odd thing. I just re-installed the driver again without rebooting. Because I did not reboot after installing the driver, I now have sound. However, the bizarre thing, as soon as I rebooted, the sound icon turned orange with the mute button on and now I don't have sound.

What about the quick touch/quick buttons driver? Did you disable any of them from startup. IF anything a system restore might also be a good idea.

Where is that located in the startup? I don't see it.
