I have HP laptop Pavilion Dv1693ea comes with Windows XP Home Edition SP2.

All the drivers are working fine with XP.

Nowadays, I updated the OS to Windows Vista Ultimate 32-bit.

I successfully, install the Windows and most of necessary drivers. (Note: I have a windows Vista Capable logo stick on my laptop).

However, I couldn't install the voice driver correctly, where by somehow I found a driver from different HP laptop model ( forgot the model no.) & I managed to install the VOICE ( I can hear the voice NOW).

I still have a MIC problem, where I can't use it at all. Please assist me to solve the MIC issue ob my laptop

    Regards

You probably have to install a driver for it to function properly. However, HP doesn't really support Vista for that laptop so there aren't many drivers. Maybe check microsoft and see if they have any. I'd just go back to XP.
