Everytime I bring my dv2000t out of standby it makes a popping sound from the left speaker and the sound from the windows welcome screen sounds like the computer is using all its memory and is very harsh. I sent it back to have it fixed and HP said the problem was a bad soundcard and replaced it. I've had it back for 3 days now and it still is there. Is anyone else having this problem or know of a solution to it?

I'm pretty sure what you hear is the speakers powering up.

Every notebook I've had does that.

    Nothing to worry about.
