Does anyone know where to locate spare parts for the DV1000 in Canada? I have tried buying from eBay vendors in the US, but the part I'm looking for is a replacement keyboard; and as (bad) luck would have it, the seller refuses to ship outside of the US.

My keyboard is falling apart and I need a replacement ASAP.

Anyone know of a vendor in Canada?

    Thanks

I'm assuming you could buy one from HP Canada. The dv1000 is still fairly new, is it not still under warranty meaning HP will replace it for you?

I suppose HP.ca is an option, but they're a little on the expensive side. As this is a used unit, and more than a year old, warranty is not an option. The person I bought it from was kind enough to neglect telling me about various defects; and being the crook that he is, I'm once again left with very little options.

Price you pay for doing business with thieving degenerates.

He is defintely off the Christmas card list. If you can find the HP part number, maybe you could track one down using Google, PriceGrabber, etc. Good Luck.
