Guessing it's a modified version of the dv2500t given the name, but why the "Verve" name and mention of influence of cell phone design?
Edit: Quick search came up with this...
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/...1049&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&jumpid=reg_R1002_USEN
Looks like a pretty standard dv2500t with Intel graphics.

HP has already described the current imprint finish as being inspired by cellphones and fashion, but i dunno where 'Verve' came from.
Should be interesting... -
I saw this in person today at best buy and its a pretty sexy looking machine.
Definately for someone who isnt interested in a plain black or silver notebook.
The price wasnt terrible and it wouldnt be a bad deal if it ever went on sale for around $850-$899. But at over $1000 its current specs dont do it for me. -
what color was it? -
Its a bronze color. Really unique. I could deal with it but its definately something i'd recommend someone see in person before ordering.
-
Too bad it's only a dv2500t...
If it was a dv9500t, I might think about getting it. -
-
Nope... the whole notebook has a bronze wavish pattern on it... it looks amazing. I can't believe they are selling it for that price with those specs..
-
Yes, I saw it at Best Buy two days ago and it looks very very nice, I wish all DV2000/DV2500s looked like it! Had a nice wallpaper to match as well! Too bad the processor is relatively weak.

Hmm i like that. I'd consider it if it came with the nVidia graphics card. Go here for more pics

I love the design, but when will HP start selling Santa Rosa in Canada?
As Intel has no information about the T5250 on their website, does anybody know if it offers power savings over a T7100?
If you look at the pictures, there seems to be a model with a finger print reader - indicating this design might have a more powerful brother at some point (I can't wait any longer!)
A search on HP's parts website reveals that there is another notebook which shares this chassis (dv2506xx MV IUR). Any idea what it's specs might be and when Best Buy might sell it? -

Upon further investigation of the parts site, the dv2506xx will have a T7100 CPU but half the amount of RAM (1GB).

I wish HP would release the TX1000 with Santa Rosa and this Verve design.

Unfortunately, HP has no published specifications for the dv2506xx that I can link to. You can go to http://h20141.www2.hp.com/hpparts and do a parts search for dv2506xx, and click on "List all parts for this product". You can then do the same for the dv2550se to compare. Both models share Cover [Chassis Parts] exclusive to Best Buy.
The main differences between the T5250 and T7100 is a 1.5Ghz (667Mhz FSB) vs a 1.8Ghz (800Mhz FSB) I think. I'm not sure why Intel has no listing for this processor on their website. -
5250 is for oem only, not for retail.
I will have a T5300 on a DV2000, I looked it up on wiki, the T5300 is the 2nd stepping version while the T5250 is the first. The die size has shrinked from 142mm on T5250 to 111mm on T5300 but otherwise I can't find any difference.
