I've tried several methods of bringing up special characters on the keyboard and none work like the copyright and reserve symbols and others; exactly what do you have to do with this keyboard to bring up those characters, the alt with series of numbers doesn't work.

What program are you trying to use special characters in? What OS?

Just in case...If you're talking about Word, you have to use the NUMBER PAD. HOLD ALT and type 0169 on the Number Pad for the copyright symbol.

Or use Insert Symbol from the Menu Bar, much easier than memorizing all the codes. There you will be able to see all the special characters and their codes.

Then again, you're probably not talking about Word, because if you simply type "(C)" Word should automatically create the copyright symbol!

Or, you could just use the "Character Map" which is a stand-alone program that can be found under: "Start" - "All Programs" - "Accessories" - "System Tools".

You can select different fonts, see it's key stoke short-cut, and of course, you can just simply copy-paste the character you want.
