I started this thread because I don't find the overall question answered in the Owners Lounge.

I've been drooling over the Spectre largely, I must admit, for it's great looks. I am a little reluctant to pay $400 more than an HP Folio, but love the Spectre's appearance enough, provided it has a solid computer "inside."

Would owners of 2 weeks or more jot down major pros/cons so far or briefly respond to the following questions?

    1) Happy w/ purchase overall? Do it again if you had it to do over? If not, what do you wish you got instead?

    3) Performance ok on "everyday" applications? - web, Office, play video, music. Does it feel really fast and snappy?

    4) Battery life?

Thanks for any and all input

Bump. Was it something I said? I made this shorter and to the point. Doesn't anyone have advice to lend? Thanks.

Good thread and I hope you get some answers. I love the idea of this 14 inch premium screen and the good audio and build of this laptop that is reported in reviews. My only concern is I want to have more storage even to the 512 GB level at least although I know even if the option was there, it would be quite expensive. Anyway, still curious about owners' feedback.

Kind of irrelevant but has their been any coupons for the HP Ultrabooks? A 33% off coupon would put one of these into a lot of people's price range. Especially with the upgraded components.

Or it seems only few people bought the specter. For the price, the envy 15 is a better value even for the orange issue.

Not an owner, but I saw one at the MicroCenter and I was disappointed in the screen. It's not very good. The higher resolution is good, sure, but the screen quality is definitely inferior to that of a comparable MacBook Air and for that price I'd expect better. But really, aside from Macs, most screens below 1920x1080 aren't that great.
