Has anyone tried this? I'm considering the Pioneer BDR-XD06J-UHD for watching 4K Blu-Ray discs when traveling. I recently bought a new Spectre 13" 4K. I've got 4K HDR working in Netflix and YouTube 4K. When I run the Cyberlink Ultra HD Blu-Ray Advisor, it fails on Intel Management Engine and SGX. However, I've verified that SGX is enabled in the BIOS, and when I look under Apps it shows that IME is installed. The Pioneer 4K drive is about $100 more than their regular Blu-Ray drive, so I don't want to spend the extra if it's not going to work.

you could very well just buy RedFox AnyDVD and use the built in windows video player to play the videos files.. AnyDVD decrypts the bluray in real time and lets any media player play the file. So of course you can do it but how much work you are willing to put into it is up to you.
