Hi all, having some more issues with this laptop.
My Spectre x360 restarts about 5 minutes after going to sleep / connected standby. And I don't mean waking up from sleep, but (presumably) crashing and restarting from scratch. None of my programs are open, and Event Viewer shows a "The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first" error. Any ideas?
I tried reinstalling windows, problem persists. I'm thinking about disabling various sleep modes in Group Policy Editor to see if that does anything. What do the various sleep states (S1, S2, S3) do, and which ones should I mess with?
I'm also combing through the results of `powercfg -sleepstudy` in case that shows some clues.
Haven't messed with voltages at all in XTU, but it could be voltage-related? Maybe the crash is because of insufficient voltage when entering the sleep state.

Found a solution! It was the damned Intel XTU service. The problem is solved either by setting the XTUOCDriverService in Services to Manual and stopping it before sleeping, or just by uninstalling XTU.
Looks like I'm switching to ThrottleStop. Shame because the XTU interface is so much nicer. -
Hey, is this service installed by default or did you install something?
I think HP has always had issues with sleep mode. I started using hibernate which is still very fast and I never looked back... it works well.

Yeah hibernate works too, but Modern Sleep is instant, which I like. It's like sleep and wake on a smartphone. -
I hd to uninstall cause of the same thing....i have an i5 8265 Envy 15T x360

I'm having issues with the computer waking from what seems to be hibernate instead of the original sleep. I don't know what causes it as I haven't installed XTU (although I did use throttlestop). Do you know if that was truly the cause / did it completely fix the issue.
