I'm not a Windows fan boy particularly, and just want Win 7 Pro.

Anyone know a good source of software? Best Buys will install it free if you have their Geek Squad support (for ANY 3 pc's.)

It probably does not have Win 8.1 Pro installed already, where you could downgrade Win 7 Pro for free (2 versions back), so I figure one of those Win 7 Pro sp1 software refurbishers on ebay for $70 would do the trick.

Maybe I need to go to Best Buys and talk to the Geek Squad first. I was there today and was busy eliminating another possible pc candidate since I could see the only 2 candidates other than Mac with an ALL aluminum case, so I did not think far enough in advance about asking the Geek Squad (it's loud and distracting there!)

Thanks for any information and I'll post updates as I get them to help anyone else do the same thing :)

Yes, the Geek squad will put Win 7 Pro on from an ebay msft refurbisher: which; is good :) if you are on one of their 3 pc plans.

The model with just 256 gb ssd showed 8 gb ram at 25% utilized with no active internet at best buys.
