When I start up my computer lately the Command Prompt windows comes up for a second then goes away. I downloaded dotnuke earlier this week and changed it to a .exe file(to try to open it since I could not open the .vsi file) and it came up real quick with the command prompt then went away could that be my problem? How do I find out if that is making the command prompt come up when I log into windows?

You should have no issues with the quick screen. Windows is attempting to run your changed .exe with no success and it continues on.

When you enter into windows click on start button, highlight RUN and at the open slot type in MSCONFIG Locate the startup tab (the last one) and see if you have that file in that list. If it is, uncheck it and hit apply.

Next time you enter into windows a screen will pop up about the changes you made (the unchecking of the box) and hit the correct answer so this pop up does not occur.

You could also do a system restore from a point before you downloaded dotnuke and you should get rid of the command prompt that way too.

I deleted the temp files and stuff and when I restarted I don't think it came up.

It is probably a program that you have set to run on start up just running a startup script or command it needs to make it work. This shouldn't be much of a concern, so it's probably best to just ignore it as it's not causing any harm to you or the computer.

I checked the start up programs and it's not one of them. It started to happen after I tried to install Dotnetnuke but I totally deleted the program.
