I have a few issues I was hoping someone could address:

    1. When I turn on my dv2315nr, it takes it like two minutes after I get into vista for it to start working properly and smoothly. After two minutes, the screen flickers one time and then everything is smooth. Anyone know what this flicker that signifies that all is well is?

    2. If I have my network button to on and I restart or boot up, it stays off until I turn it off and back on again. Any solution to this?

    Thank you guys.

    Try this
That could be a hardware problem, a wireless modem driver in need of an update, or a setting for the wireless network. Does the network you are connecting to broadcast the SSID? If not, do you have the option to connect anyway set on on the PC? While we're at it, do you have the option to connect automatically checked? Rather than turning it off and then back on, if you right-click on the network icon in the system tray and select Diagnose and repair does it work then?

Thank you so much for the reply, it's very highly appreciated. Thank you.

I will try that fix later, thank you.

I have updated the network drivers on my laptop from the HP site. What's the SSID? I do connect to the network if that makes any difference....

It connects automatically, when I turn the switch off and back on again, just takes a couple of minutes to connect.

No it doesn't, it tells me to switch the network key in the front of my pc to on, even though it is on. :(

Do you have built-in wireless, or are you using a USB or PCMCIA or some other external wireless adapter?

    If you have internal wireless:

Try going into Computer Management under System Tools there will be an entry for Device Manager. Look for Network Adapters and find you wireless adapter in that list and double-click on it. Go to the Power Management tab and uncheck the Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power box. Back out of these screens with OK or Save. I am thinking that your internal wireless may not be powering up automatically, so it is not available to be used until you do it manually.

Heh! I just deinstalled that the other day, since I only have WiFi (no BT) I did not need to separately control one device.

Glad you got it figured out!
