My Compaq Presario V6112AU was doing fine till about a month ago until one fine day it refused to bootup for over 15 minutes after that it has taken anywehre between 15minutes to over several hours before it boots into Vista - that too if I hit the restart button for a zillion times.

At first I thought it was a hard disk problem so I removed the HDD and tried to boot but the same problem persisted. Than I changed the RAM modules - but again the same problem.

So I finally reformatted the whole hard disk & back tracked my system Bios(thinking that maybe some malicious software might have effected at the bios stage itself) but I stil face the same problem. Now the wi-fi also stopped working.

I am currently travelling so I can't give it to the service center. Anyway the question is has anyone faced this problem with their lappy? if yes how did you recrify it. Please help. Thanks in advance.

Btw: the specs for it are AMD64x2 Turion/2GB DDR2 667Mhz/nVidia 6150/Win Vista Home Premium

Sounds like you'll have to call HP when you get back home. Sorry.
