    Who else here does the "geeky" thing and disable services that aren't needed for their notebook? I ask because apparently the nvsvc32 service does different things depending on system type (the model of your video card). I hear it manages the display properties (custom user settings for anti-aliasing, etc.) however on my 7400go it doesn't seem to make a difference, the settings stick with and without the service running. Now the other thing which should be more worrisome is that it manages the fan speeds of your video card, and if you disable the service the fan might not run at full speeds like it should (particularly during heavy processing like gaming). This again probably depends on the make/model of your video card.

    Has anyone noticed different memory/cpu speeds or fan speeds with having the service enabled/disabled?

    It's perfectly safe to disable this service.

    In fact its recommended, it resolves a huge memory leak in the process.

    The only thing this process is needed for is debugging, which I seriously doubt you will ever need. And if you do simply re-enable the service.

    Regards =)
