    Hey all.

I'm writing you because a friend of mine has a HP Pavillion DV 6815 nr (AMD) that makes an annoying sound in the lower right corner after 20 seconds he turns on the laptop. Sounds like smething metalical scraching something. I told him that it could be the hard drive, but I'm not sure, so I preffer to ask to the experts.

What do you think it could be? Can I or him fix it?

    Thanx for your time!

It is most likely the hard drive. Does it eventually stop?

Yes. But it's getting larger and larger everytime. Sounds like a cat skating on aluminium, that annoying

Again, thanx all. Checking the laptop, there's no HD in the lower right corner...so what can it be? Sounds is getting more and more annoying (and obviously louder). Bought it in USA by the way.

If it is under warranty still? HP will cover the charge. But i dont know if they will cover you in Bolivia... You should open it up and check if it is a fan though...
