Starting two days ago when the computer might have suffered an overheating related crash, I now cannot get more than 15 odd minutes of gameplay when playing l4d2.
I find this odd as the temperature seems to peak around 70ish.
After 15 or so minutes, the screen flashes black, then displays somwhat of a digital snow while the speakers buzz for a few seconds before restarting, stating that windows has recovered from an unexpected shut down.
this is the info i was able to gather
Problem signature:

C:\Windows\Minidump\101010-39140-01.dmp
C:\Users\Thomas Argent\AppData\Local\Temp\WER-73008-0.sysdata.xml
The .dmp file will not open (even though i am admin, it says access denied) and i cannot find the .xml file
Edit: I think i may have been able to get informtion out of the .dmp
Attaching some stuff. Dump is in .txt. Windows_NT6.... contains what looks like more in depth info.
One note, I do think that the buzzing noise is correlated to the game. I turned the volume down in game but left the speakers loud during a second try and the sound was softer (i think)
This is distressing as this computer is rather new and i have no insurance on it nor money to replace it if something is going bad. Please help

It should still be under warranty right? That's pretty disturbing as I have a very similar model.

I would get this laptop serviced.
Are you using the notebook on a hard surface that allows proper ventilation? -

I should note though, that from flipping around on the internet for a while, It MAY be that l4d2 has been for its entire career, causing windows 7 64 bit computers to bsod, i even read one post that described my scary screen/buzzing noise to a T.
Im beginning to think its simply bad coding in the game. Updated bios/drivers/everything. Even got a higher framerate than ever in the game due to new gpu drivers! however at 30 minutes exactly (timed it) it crashes the whole computer. (this one only one time that i timed it though.
I think it can last shorter or longer, however it does feel like it lands on mathematically related numbers instead of at complete random (like 15 minutes, 30, 45 instead of 12, 18, whatever.) This bit about the possible time period correlations is complete speculation though so it may be best to disregard this last part)
I should also note, the computer is not getting hotter than 70C as far as i can tell (minus the one time where this started). Also i think there was a minor update to the game on the same day this started, again giving more credit to the fact that something about the game itself or steam is causing the issue, not hardware.
Current actions so far
* Added all relevant files to exemption lists on Avast and windows defender
* Update all drivers through windows update (hadnt done that in ages)
* Update bios by using the HP bios updater.
* Use Game Booster to turn off any and all possible programs causing conflictions (didnt fix but did make game run faster while it works)
* Used Speed Fan to monitor temperature (didnt really get over 70C most times. I would sometimes get lucky, get a good stretch of time till the computer got warm, then alt tabbed to check temp. graphs peaked and stayed steady at 70C. i also have an audible warning if it goes to 75 and a major warning if it maintains 80C for too long. So far no warning sounds.
I have also used canned air to dust the computer Just minutes ago and am currently re-downloading and re-installing the game. While thats going on, im going to try to play a separate, non steam game to test if its the game or the hardware/drivers. -
It's probably the game. I have read about L4D2 causing problems on win 7, some people can't even get the retail version to install. I just bought it on steam last week so wish me luck.

Well it doesn't seem to be hardware related. Push it to the max with various benchmarks around just to be sure. if it doesn't have issues it is the game installation that got some issue. Could be a update - sound card, windows?- you have made that changed the drivers?
-
I did crash still, complete nasty non blue bsod as i had described earlier, but it took a hell of a lot longer to happen. -
Erase page file/preftech and let it rebuild. Check also if there is nothing wrong with your disks.
Maybe you might try ask here even if you are in Vista http://www.sevenforums.com/crashes-debugging/43875-bsod-bccode-1000007e.html -

At this point, I feel that it's either hardware overheating or software corruption.

Thanks for the support though guys. I will update if anything important happens. -
