I've noticed a repetitive noise coming from my HDX X16. It is close to the area where the HDD is, but I've opened the laptop and checked and seemed like the noise was not coming form the HDD.

I've looked on the HP Disassembly Guide for the HDX series and noticed that there is a second (fan?) close to the HDD area. I'm not sure its a fan, but it would seem reasonable that this fan is making the noise.

Is there a secondary case fan in this laptop (if yes, where can i purchase spare one?)

Might be chipset or CPU whine.... I doubt there's another fan inside...
