I have a question regarding the zd7000 series with the 128mb fxgo5700. If you plug in an external monitor, can you stretch the desktop across the built in screen and the external monitor, or will it only clone the desktop to the external monitor. My former laptop (fujitsu n5010) could do it with the ati 9600, but my bosses dell could not. thanks in advance for help....

The NVidia drivers should have this option to span desktops. You my want to check the advanced display settings.
