    Does anybody know, how could I get Super G wireless working on HP Compaq 8710P ? (GC102EA)

    HP uses Broadcom and Intel wireless cards. Super G is an Atheros thing. Replacing the internal wireless card is difficult because HP has a whitelist in the BIOS of "approved" wireless cards. Adding an Atheros-based ExpressCard would work but you wouldn't be able to use the nice antennas your notebook has so you'll lose some range.

    When I bought my wireless router I saw that it has Super G support (108Mbps) but it wasn't very clear to me how the normal 802.11g is "enhanced".
