Looks like I've got dozens of dead pixels. Last week HP Engineer removed the LCD to change the webcam, so is there a possibility that dust is mounted on the back of the glass? Or is it really dead pixels?

i would get back on the phone and get them to either replace the lcd or clean the one you have, it must have 50+ black bits dead pixels or dirt i don't know.

In case the dust is inside the glass panel, how can you flick it without opening? My wife told me that, when the HP engineer was opening the LCD for replacing the webcam, he cleaned the glass from inside, she noticed that the display is protected by glass. Since HP Envy 15 J001 is an LED display, so I am not sure if these touchscreen displays are protected by glass

The HP People asked me to send snapshot of BIOS. Now the question is when BIOS has black background how can it detect dead pixels?
