There have been a few complaints regarding the Canadian keyboard on the 6500.
Has anyone swapped successfully and what are the costs for the keyboard.
HP provides video instruction for a number of self repairs.

There shouldn't be any problem in swapping the US and Canadian keyboard for a similar model since they have the same overall shape/size. I swapped an English Canadian keyboard for a French Canadian keyboard on 2 laptops without any problems. No drivers or Install Cd is required, you'll just have to reset the keyboard type in Windows. Removing the keyboard varies from laptop models. Usually it's just a small task of removing 2 or 3 screws at the top of the keyboard, slide it off and deconnect it.
