    Hello,

I wonder is it possible to swap the DVD between a Dv7-1174CA and a Gateway P-7805FX?

The dv7-1174ca has a BD-rom DVD writer and th e7805FX has a DVD writer.

    I believe they're both sata.

    Thx

Why dont you try? Most notebooks use the standard slimline drives.

It only takes one screw to take out the HP optical drive.

Make sure the interfaces are the same ATAPI/IDE will look kind of similar to SATA.
