I bought a new hp envy beats with the switchable graphics. How does one know which card is being used by the laptop. IN device manager i see both cards active, but how do you switch between them? DO i disable one or something?

device manager just tells you what hardware is in the computer.

right click desktop and click switchable graphics.

you can also set up keyboard shortcut to switch with key combination:
    1. make sure you are on high performance gpu
    2. open catalyst control center and click preferences in top right corner
    3. and then you can set keyboard shortcuts

or just right click your desktop, and select "Configure Switchable Graphics". Which opens a prompt showing you whats currently active. and the ability to switch to which ever GPU you wanna use.

--edit, what he said lol. Didnt see that.
