You might have to disable the UEFI bios to get Windows 7 to install. That is what is needed first in the new laptops for you to begin to install prior O/S onto the system. And even then you first should make sure there are Windows 7 drivers for your laptop before you start this project otherwise you be stuck going back to Windows 8 again. Also make sure you got Windows 8 recovery cds just incase you need to reboot to get it back working again.

Check with each of your hardware manufacture site and see if they have drivers for Windows 7 matching your units sometime they do and sometimes no. But do check each of your hardware manufacture cause there is chance they have or have not the drivers. If all else fails then you can go to HP site and tell use the service manual or parts listing and others can see what it has and see if they can come up with something workable for you and if not then you might just be stuck with Windows 8. But another alternative is to use StartisBack to get a windows 7 setup back if that is the last resort you have to do.
