    Does this look pretty normal?

Everest has a pretty nice benchmarking tool. By the time it got to the fpu: julia test it was sweatin! (And I was too, when I saw it reach 80c). At that point the cpu fan is crazily loud, it kicks into 3rd (or 4th) speed range.

    EDIT: Forgot the specs

    Mobile DualCore Intel Core 2 Duo T7200, 2000 MHz (12 x 167)
    Mobile Intel Calistoga i945PM
    2048 MB (DDR2-667 DDR2 SDRAM)
    Phoenix (11/13/06)
NVIDIA GeForce Go 7400 (256 MB)

Everest seems to be missing a tool for bechmarking an overall score for hardware and comparison w/ other comparable hardware, anyone know of a good tool for this?

After a 15 minute stress test, mine (DV6000Z) never gets above 61C with the hdd steady at 46C and FPU at 56C. Voltage is .950

Have you guys ever tried 3dmark2006? A buddy of mine told me to try that but I am always paranoid of loading any free software programs on my new PC.

What did you stress it with? Now I'm begginning to wonder if everest runs very intensive tests (perhaps more so than some other tests) or maybe my notebook runs hotter.

It's a good app, very popular with gamers, it's a video benchmark, it runs gfx engine tests, mostly static but it gives a good impression on the type of game scenarios your comp might be able to run. I haven't ran it yet on my notebook.

Also it doesn't come with spyware or anything like that, it's harmless.

Passmark Software has it's Performance Test v6.1. Gives a "Passmark" rating that you can compare to other systems. Can't vouch for it's validity and have never used it myself.

None. Runs a tad on the warm side though, compared to yours. My cpu only sees 40c for a brief instant while it screams toward the 60c mark, when the fan kicks in. Your hd also runs slightly cooler. The gpu is spot-on. I doubt you have anything to be concerned with. Everest's test pretty much beats the system into submission, so those results aren't unusual, I suspect.
