Hi all, just wondering would I experience any significant difference in speed between the Core 2 Duo T5500: 1.6Ghz/2MB Cache & T7200: 2Ghz/4MB Cache? The only thing that is holding me off from purchasing the DV6000t is the T5500. (We Aussies only get one farking CPU Model to choose from!!!). All I will be doing is web browsing, messenger, office, adobe, music, dvd viewing, lots of downloading, and perhaps some DVD Shrinking from time to time.

For your purposes, the T5500 should be just fine. The DVD shrink (or any other media encoding) will probably be the only thing that would actually benefit; if it's infrequent as you say, I wouldn't worry about it.
