    Hi

I have a problem playing 1080p content. My friend and I have the same laptop (dv9000) but I have a Core2Duo 2Ghz and he has the 1.66Ghz version. The thing is that he can play 1080p but I cant without major stutter.. 1080p shouldnt be a problem for a T7200 processor so I dont know what the problem can be. I have a fresh install of Vista Ultimate 64, I have tried CCCP, VLC and The Core media player.

For the hell of it I also tried to installed XP SP2 (32bit) on a partition and tried theese three players but still no success. In XP only one core seems to be in use during play, I optimized the dual core in XP after reading this: http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=60416 still cant play properly.
I have seen this problem on quiet a few posts but no solution, usually people just say try VLC or something like that...

Can anyone please help me or at least point me in the right direction!!!!

    Thanks!
    Johan

What video card do you have?
    That could be the problem

What program are you trying to run the videos in? Try media player classic or vlc player.

I have tried using MPC, VLC and The Core Media Player in both Vista and XP, same result. The grafic card is a Geforce Go 7600 so that shouldnt be a problem.
It feels like a problem with the grafic card drivers but its the newest version from the HP website.. Not sure what to do or how to fix it.
