uh, HP got rid of the T7700 Processor. The best they have is the T7500. Can anyone say that this was a stupid move by HP or was the T7700 merely the same as the T7500? I dont get why HP did this.

Well not a stupid move at all. The T7700 is around 200$ more expensive then the T7500, while the performance gain is just a few percent. That's why we usually advice T7500 here on the forums, even better the T7300, which has the best price/performance.

    Good luck.

There is always a difference, the fastest the better. A lot of people want to buy a notebook to last more than a CPU generation, so a T7700/T7800 is a good choice. By the way, the price difference in HP business line notebooks between T7700 and T7800 is like 50 - 75$, which is not that much. Maybe HP will only use T7800. Once they used to sell the T7800 at the same price.
