Do you want more screen real estate, or bigger-looking text and icons? It seems more people lean towards the WSXGA screen......

I would personally go for the WSXGA option. You won't notice much of a difference going from the T8100 to the T8300, and WXGA is far too low of a resolution for a 17" screen IMO. If you want to take advantage of the 17" screen size, go for the WSXGA option.

Screen resolution is preference. If you want the WSXGA resolution, get it. The processor upgrade isn't worth it. If you don't mind or like WXGA, do neither upgrade and save some money. You don't need to make the font larger, though it makes it easier to read.

Go for the better screen. The T8100 is powerful enough to run everything these days

I agree with everything Teraforce stated, go for the WSXGA.

Definitely get the screen, you won't even notice the processor difference, but the increase in pixels is very noticeable. However, I'm planning to replace my WSXGA+ (1680x1050) with a WUXGA (1920x1200) screen, and if you're interested in doing that, then you'd want to just get the WSXGA (1440x900) screen since that will save you a little money.
